UPCOMING WATER
EFFICIENCY WORKSHOP…
The Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District
(LSGCD) is pleased to host an upcoming workshop about establishing utility-based
programs to Evaluate Water Efficiency in the Commercial Sector.
The two-day workshop will be held at the Lone Star Convention Center on July 14th
and 15th and will train participants to recognize water efficiency
opportunities for commercial businesses, industries and institutional facilities
(e.g., medical facilities, restaurant and food services, schools, laundries, car
washes, landscaping/irrigation, etc.). One of the state’s leading experts,
Bill Hoffman, will conduct the workshop and, to wrap up the
program, participants will observe him as he performs an actual, on-site water
efficiency evaluation.
Each Attendee will receive a CD, a comprehensive
workshop notebook, and lunch both days. Additional funding for the workshop is
being provided by the North
Harris County Regional Water Authority. Significant water savings can
be realized by educating our business owners and local water providers about the
latest technological advances in water efficiency!
